The Silent Breast Cancer Killer – Something Every Women Must Know - Inflammatory Cancer

By GmaGoldie

There is a very important video that every woman must see - it is about a silent killer. It is about a breast cancer that I just recently learned about called IBC - Inflammatory Breast Cancer. It is a type of breast cancer without a “lump”. IBC can best be described as "sheets of cancer", doctors call it "nests of cancer".

Men - if you are reading, you must forward this to the females in your life - it may save their life or a friend's.

Warning:  This video is graphic. Inflammatory breast cancer photos are revealed. I warn you it is ugly. But it is critical information. So few people have heard of this type of cancer. This was reported in 2007 and yet when I shared this with closely girl friends, they too, had never heard of this!

Inflammatory Breast Cancer - Breast Cancer Without A Lump

Again, I must stress, this is critical information. It is not a pretty video, it is very graphic. I apologize but it is important information. Most women have never heard of it, most physicians have heard of it but have never seen it. Most common symptoms:

Komo IBC Special NOTE: Images are Graphic

Common Symptons of IBC

· Rapid Increase In Breast Size

· Redness

· Persistant Itching

· Skin Hot to the touch

· Thickening of Breast Tissue

Knowledge is Power - Share with Others

Knowledge is power. Communicating with loved ones, sharing the ugly medical facts and the symptons of IBC is critical to many lives. Please help to spread the correct knowledge.

Times are Changing - Yet No "Cure" for Cancer

I lost a wonderful, wonderful friend and co-worker when I was in my early 20’s to breast cancer. I know the medical progress we have made since then close to 20 years ago. I am thrilled with advances we have made in medical research. I know most certainly, IF she had breast cancer even 10 years later, she would still be with us. Likewise, if knowledge is power and we can educate our friends, our family and daughters and yes our sons too! to learn when to ask questions, how to ask questions, perhaps we can lessen the death rate on this horrible disease.

I am thrilled to see the efforts for fundraising and the awareness. It is not just about money for cancer research; it is also about taking the time to learn. Both men and women need to learn that the appearance of “bites” on the breast may be a sign to get to the doctor immediately. And ask specifically about IBC, inflammatory breast cancer.

As I type this, two of my close friends are recovering from breast surgery and one is undergoing the final rounds of chemotherapy. This is a disease that affects all of us. We need the knowledge in order to attack and conquer this horrific disease.

If you and/or your family are seeking cures, please don't be duped by over zealous salesman in regards to ozonated water. Please see my blog about the Myths of ozone water exposed.

PaulaK,

You are most welcome. I had no idea and I felt silly reporting on an item that was 2-3 years old but I figured IF I didn't know perhaps there were others who also needed to know. Thank you for dropping in.

Good information...it appears that all cancers have a connection to inflammation.

I don't think "they" want to cure cancer since chemo brings in the money..

Stacie L,

Sadly, money rules - it is the ultimate in the ruling class - you are correct.

Don't Bet Against Me!: Beating the Odds Against Breast Cancer and in Life

I just finished reading a great book which surprized me.  Deanna Favre's book "Don't Bet Against Me!  Beating the Odds Against Breast Cancer and in Life".  This great book is a little bit about her journey but it really is a cookbook guide of what to expect.  The back of the book has a complete reference source including terminology.  Deanna's purpose in this book is clearly to help a loved one through the darkness of this trauma.  If you have a friend who is hurting, this would make a great companion to help them through this trauma.
